DaYuLing oolong tea is one of the rarest and most sought after teas. Grown at elevations higher than 2,200 meters above sea level, DaYuLing tea is exceptionally aromatic and sweet. Our offering is no exception. We’ve found that the aftertaste lingers as long as two minutes, and that each batch of leaves holds flavor up to six steeps.
DaYuLing's Winter Harvest leaves are green and fresh, the tastes are mellow, smooth and soft, thick and active, the aroma is elegant with mostly floral notes and almost no fruitiness. We detected notes of muted lilac flower. If you're a big fan of flowers, you know that lilac blossoms can have some of the most powerful and sweet scents among flowers. A bouquet on the dining room table can waft as far as the kitchen or living room. Lilacs that are grown or cut and kept in colder weather however, tend to have a much more delicate scent that is only really detected up close. This is the note that you might notice on the palate, a luxurious mouthfeel. Fairly unique among oolong, and intriguing for long-time fans.
The DaYuLing Oolong Winter Harvest captures the essence of high-mountain tea, with its delicate floral aroma, creamy texture, and pure, refreshing taste. The winter harvest, marked by slower leaf growth and concentrated flavor, offers a tea that is elegant, nuanced, and truly unforgettable.
Every order of DaYuLing is triple checked for quality and consistency, and ships in a quick-seal canister to maximize shelf life. This is because our DaYuLing is simply our finest green oolong offered, and the pride of our company. We love this tea and are confident that you will too!
Steeping Instructions:
Prepare 3 grams of tea leaf (slightly less than a teaspoon) per 100ml of water(about half a cup).
For the first two steeps, 90°c water for no longer than 60 seconds will provide plenty of flavor. From the third steep onward it is fine to add up to thirty additional seconds per steep. This should provide between four and six re-steeps depending on the quality of the tea. For larger vessels (teapots of over 500ml) re-steep potential is usually lower.
This year's vintage of the green oolong "DaYuLing" is truly exceptional. The quality is superb. It has all the characteristics for a winner in any competition. It is even better than the iconic Spring 2022 vintage, that is why I gave it 97 points, the highest I have ever given any Oolong tea before. I tried every Oolong tea that this company offers, mountain tea company has excellent Varity and top quality, I highly recommend trying some ..... see my personal evaluation and the summary to help you decide. This is from intense experimentation and experience the last two years. It is MY personal Opinion, alone.... It is MY taste, which differs from others.

It’s been many years since I taste “dayuling 大禹嶺” Taiwanese high mountain tea. As such this Spring 2022 harvest brought me back to those good old days. The brew yielded a beautiful light olive oil hue. Full body viscous tea with subtle yet deep powerful hints of lilac or orchid floral flavors on the palate. Deceptively and addictively elegant. Exceedingly long finish with a tea sweetness “甘gan” that lingers for a VERY long time on the rear roof of my mouth and along the sides of the throat. Another wonderful example of what the Chinese describe as “houyun 厚韻” and “huigan 回甘,” two most important indicator/descriptors of great teas. From Mountain Tea Company.
A good pot of tea completes my morning. I love to sit outside and experience nature while I savor all the varieties of tea I have purchased from your company. All of my pets ( I have 2 cats and 1 dog) always come and share the tea experience with me. I am so very thrilled with the quality of all the tea I have purchased. No other tea come close to the complexity or finish that your Oolong teas provide. Glad to have found your company!!
